About Me
Dr. John Klassen received his B.Sc. in Chemistry from Queen’s University in 1991 and Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Alberta in 1996. From 1996 to 1997, he was an NSERC postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, Berkeley, working under the supervision of Prof. Evan Williams. In 1998 he joined the Department of Chemistry at the University of Alberta. He has been a Principal Investigator in the Alberta Glycomics Centre since 2004. In 2015 he was appointed as Scientific Director of the Centre.
